We had a great time. I hope we do get to do it again next year.
Meeting Ruth was like meeting a good friend for the first time.
We saw buildings and plants and things I hadn’t ever seen and had a truly wonderful afternoon (although my butt is sore from all the walking).

After a lovely, leisurely brunch together, we walked around a historic part of [a nameless Eastern town] with a guidebook, enjoying architectural details, obscure stories, & cunning passageways between buildings.
What a delightful day it was.
We got to have lunch together..I really appreciate you coming to Whittier while you were out here, Judith.
